Esha Gupta on Padmavati: They don’t think rape is that important. They should focus on actual social issues

These days, Padmavati is one of the hot topic and lots of celebrities sharing their point of view on being film postpone and its controversies. Esha Gupta also commented on the issue and controversies that film is facing, she said “In India, right now no one says, ‘We will ban this or that,’ when rape happens but a film is getting so much mileage because even these people know that they will get mileage out of a movie but not out of a rape that happens. They don’t think rape is that important. They should focus on actual social issues.”On her sharing bold images on social media, the actress said “I won’t say revenge because I don’t think they are even important for me to take any revenge from but if I have the confidence, the body and by God’s grace, you guys have supported so why not just go for it?

Trolls are just 5 percent. 95 percent (people) love me so, I will concentrate on that.”Further, Esha added “In our country, women are eternally blamed. They are accused when a girl child is born, they are even accused even when they raped. So, somewhere I knew that I will also have to face a lot of heat. After all, it’s easiest for some faceless and redundant people to pull a celebrity down at the first opportunity. I’ve done shoots like this one when I was a model. I’ve gone topless and naked, too. No one ever asked me about that. And who are these people who have ‘issues’ with my pictures? It’s my body and it’s been shot aesthetically.”
